Description |
The purpose of this study is
to prepare an amendment to the Durham Regional Official
Plan to bring it into conformity with the Central
Pickering Development Plan.
The “conformity
amendment” will include revising existing parts of the
Plan, as well as adding new policies and/or schedules as
required to reflect Regional interests. |

Preparation of a draft
Amendment forms part of the scope of work for the Seaton
Neighbourhood Planning Review. Draft amendment to be prepared and processed concurrently
with City of Pickering’s conformity amendment to the
Pickering Official Plan. |

An amendment to the Regional
Official Plan is exempt from Provincial approval.
The amendment to the
Regional Official Plan to implement the Central
Pickering Development Plan will have its own
consultation process run by the Region of Durham. |
