Description |
The purpose of this study is to review
recent work on Seaton that has been or is being
completed by the landowners (including the Province),
undertake required new work and analysis, undertake a
consultation program, and provide recommendations to the
City with respect to the following:
-
Official Plan policies and related
matters for Seaton, including Official Plan
amendments, neighbourhood plans, sustainable
performance measures, and development (urban design)
guidelines;

results of required background
studies, including updating the retail market
analysis, and establishing an affordable housing
strategy; and
-
submitted draft plan of subdivision
and zoning by-law applications for Seaton.

Status |
On September 21, 2009,
Pickering Council passed Resolution #224/09, accepting
the proposal submitted by SGL et al. The review
has commenced. The first round of public
consultation will be in early 2010. |

All lands within the Seaton Community will be contained
within a
Neighbourhood
Plan, whether that land is part of the Natural Heritage
System, or part of the developable lands. The
developable lands include those lands designated as
Employment Lands, Residential or Mixed Use.
