  • Nature. Our treasured waterfront is home to the Waterfront Trail, a scenic haven for cycling, in-line skating and leisurely strolls. Boating, fishing and water activities are favourite pastimes on Frenchman's Bay. Petticoat Creek, Seaton Hiking Trail and Greenwood and Claremont Conservation Areas offer extensive hiking and walking trails.
  • Heritage. History comes alive at the Pickering Museum Village. Located on the banks of Duffins Creek in historic Greenwood, it is home to restored buildings dating from the 1830s to circa 1900, including a blacksmith shop and general store.
  • Arts and Culture. Pickering is rich with events such Artfest on the Esplanade, a free outdoor arts festival with artists and musical entertainment, Theatre in the Park and a Waterfront Concert Series.
  • Shopping and Dining. Choose from a wealth of shopping and dining options for business, employees and residents. The Pickering Town Centre is home to more than 200 stores, restaurants and services. Pickering is also home to the First Pro Shopping Centre, the Pickering Annex, the Pickering Markets and numerous storefront operations. The Pickering Central Library is the Tourism Information Centre for the City of Pickering.  Various print materials are available to the public during regular library hours.
