2010 Current Development in the City:

June 2010
Downtown intensification continues with the addition of V!VA Pickering Retirement Communities. Construction of the $30-million project kicked off with a groundbreaking ceremony on June 9. Located at the corner of Kingston Road and Glengrove Drive, the six-storey community will be home to 135 suites, including 104 independent living suites with kitchenette and 31 assisted-living suites. A highlight of this project is a Victory Garden, where “everything grown is organic and is used in (their) culinary program...”
