The City
of Pickering encourages and supports the growth of home based
businesses. Council adopted a by-law which permits a business
to operate legally from a permanent residence.
Our economic
development staff provide assistance to entrepreneurs who are
thinking of starting a business or have recently done so.
Our office provides a variety of literature and
resource material.
