The Frenchman’s Bay Watershed Rehabilitation
Project (or FBWRP as we like to call it) was established in 1998 to
provide hands-on environmental opportunities for the community of
Pickering while enhancing the natural features found within the
Frenchman’s Bay watershed. From 1998
to 2007 the FBWRP
has provided many classroom visits and public events through four programs including the Hands on the Earth Program (HOEP),
Natural Alternative Program, Volunteer Environmental Watch (VEW) and West
Shore Habitat Initiative.
During 2008, our community partners are
meeting regularly to determine a new focus for the project. Stay
tuned for updates as planning continues.
