Looking for
Tourism or Local History information?
The
Central Library is the Tourism
Information Centre for the City of Pickering, and also provides virtual
tours online! You will find additional Tourism
links in our Business
Section.
The library
also maintains the Local
History Collection. The majority of this collection has
been digitized and is conveniently available at www.pada.ca
(Pickering Ajax Digital Archive). The Pickering Ajax Digital
Archive contains thousands of historical photographs and hundreds
of full-text documents which are completely indexed and easily
searched.
Take a moment to send an electronic
postcard to friends or family!

Our transit
system
Everything you need to
know about local transit can be found on the DRT
website. On January 1, 2006, all local transit in Durham
combined to become a region-wide service called Durham Region
Transit (DRT). The amalgamation brings together Oshawa Transit,
Ajax-Pickering Transit, Whitby Transit, Clarington Transit, and
Handi Transit.
Looking for maps?
We
have transit route maps, City of Pickering street map, City
Facilities map, Snow Control maps, and many location maps. Click
on the Maps link at the bottom of this page, or go to the Planning
Section or the Services
Section.
