Official Opening Thursday, November 15, 2001 marked the official opening of the impressive glass building at the Hub Plaza at Kingston Road and Liverpool Road. Steele Valley Development Ltd. built the three-storey 11,000 sq. ft. building that is home to a drive-through McDonalds complete with a Play Place and an outdoor patio, as well as Starbucks. The building will also house several smaller tenants. On hand to celebrate the opening were MPP Ajax-Pickering-Uxbridge, Janet Ecker, City of Pickering Mayor Wayne Arthurs, Regional Councillors Rick Johnson and Maurice Brenner and City Councillor David Pickles.
