| Have you licensed
your pet yet?
Did you know that approximately
one-third of all pets will be lost at least once in their lifetime?
To help ensure the health and safety of both the people and pets in
Pickering, the City of Pickering requires that all dogs and cats be
licensed on an annual basis.
An important secondary reason for
licensing your pet is that it is your pets "call home". By
licensing your pet with the City of Pickering's Animal Services, you
are increasing the chance of having your pet reunited with you if it
is ever lost. A pet with a licence attached to its collar is often
returned to the owner the same day it was found, while without one,
the owner may search for days.
Licence application forms can be
printed off the web, picked up from the Clerk's Office, Second
Floor, Civic Complex, One the Esplanade during regular working hours
(Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm), or purchased from the following
