ACCESSIBILITY ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Role
The Accessibility
Advisory Committee was established by By-law 6211/03 under the
requirements of Section 12(1) of the Ontarians with Disabilities
Act, 2001.
The Committee consists of a Member of Council and residents with
disabilities. At least 50% of the membership of the Committee must
include members of the disabled community.
Council shall seek advice from the Committee on the accessibility
for persons with disabilities to a building, structure or premises
and shall review site plans.
