The Office of Sustainability promotes and coordinates the City's Sustainable Pickering initiative. Working in collaboration with residents, businesses, institutions, and other partners, the Office identifies and monitors sustainability targets, and delivers practical solutions and programs that help make Pickering a more sustainable City - environmentally, socially and economically. A primary objective of the Office is to seek out and promote sustainable development buildings and projects across the City. The Office of Sustainability is also responsible for the day-to-day operation of the City's economic development program, including business retention, attraction and expansion, as well as marketing and promotions, film liaison and the corporate websites.
