Rick, his wife Sue, their son Chris
and late son Russell have lived in Pickering for the past 31 years.
Several years ago Rick decided that
the best way to serve his constituents was to increase his
accessibility so he made politics his full-time career. You are his
number one priority and your concerns are his. Rick is proud of the
work he has done over the past 13 years on your behalf and he wants
to continue to fight for a better, stronger Pickering ... a
community where our children can be happy and prosper.
Rick was first elected in 1988 and
has spent 16 years on Pickering Council.

Rick has been an enthusiastic
fundraiser for over 40 years. He has helped the Ajax-Pickering
Hospital, United Way, Easter Seals, Big Brothers and Sisters of
Canada, Cancer Society, Kidney Foundation, The Canadian Cleft Lip
and Palate Family Association and many more and is involved in the
community as an avid sponsor and participant with many local sports
teams. He has served in the position of Chairman of the Ontario
Athlete of the Year Syl Apps Award Selection Committee. Rick
was the founding President of Herizon House. Received the
Queen's Golden jubilee Medal in 2002 for helping to raise over $10
million for Children's Charities. First Honorary Big Brother
for Ajax-Pickering.
