2010 Summer Camp!
July 5 – September 3, 2010

Pickering, ON, June 2, 2010 - Are you Registered for Summer Camp Yet?

School is soon coming to an end for another year – do you have your space reserved at camp yet? The City of Pickering invites you to take a look at our lineup of theme based summer camps offered this year for children 3 – 12 yrs. Register now before all spaces are gone!

For pre-schoolers, ages 3 – 5, Mini Pidaca is a half-day camp which runs from 9:30 am to 12 noon. This is a great camp to prepare them for going to school on their own in September. Themes include Mini into the Animal Kingdom, Mini Goes Around the World, Once Upon a Time at Mini, and When Mini Grows Up! Campers take part in dress-up days, arts & crafts, games, and more!

Full day programs (9:00 am – 3:15 pm) for children ages 5 – 12 include the following: Arts Camp is offering Arts Blast Off, Arts Camp Rocks, Arts Winter in Summer, High School Musical Remix, and Arts Camps Goes Wild! Sports Camp is gym class all day, every day! Adventure Camp’s theme’s include Summer Survival, Adventure Camp Goes Green, Lost Island Adventure, Wild West Adventure, and Water World 2! Pioneer Camp takes campers back to the past with Pioneer Life 101, Heritage Hall of Famers, Silly Settler Science, Pioneer Culture, and Mega Museum Master! Daily bus transportation to and from camp is provided for Arts, Sports, Adventure and Pioneer Camps.

For working parents, we offer Extend-a-Camp, which is offered to full-day campers (Arts, Sports, Adventure and Pioneer Camps). Drop your child off at the Creative Centre between the hours of 7:00 am – 9:00 am and pick them up at the end of the day between 3:15 pm – 6:00 pm. Campers will get to enjoy a variety of active and quiet games, activities, movies and more at this before and after camp program.

Check out Act One Drama Camp (5 – 14 years). Spend an unforgettable 5 days being introduced to the world of drama! Campers will discover the “actor” in each of them!
In to Science? Mad Science Camp (5 – 12 years) offers two 1-week camps, Science Sleuth, and Secret Agent Lab. Let your child discover how cool Science can be! Or looking to let your imagination loose?

City of Pickering Camp Staff are carefully selected and fully trained to ensure that all campers get to experience a safe and fun summer at camp. New friends, new adventures, and a whole lot of fun!
