Want to save some money?
Pay a visit to your Library!
When the economy is thriving, most of us don’t think twice about
buying the latest bestseller, the newest video game or
purchasing a pay-per-view movie, but what about when times are
tight? Just because you’re watching your wallet, doesn’t mean
you can’t enjoy a good book or a movie – you can borrow them
from your Library for Free!
The
Pickering Public Library has a large selection of the latest
bestselling novels, recently released blockbuster movies and
popular video games for the Playstation 2 and 3, Wii and xBox
360. Library cardholders can borrow all of these items, then
return them when they’re done…and not pay a cent! Did you
know that if you borrow just 5 books and 5 DVDs from the Library
each month instead of buying them, you could save almost $3000?
You
can also save some money on costly home internet fees. The
Library has Free internet access for all Library cardholders.
So, instead of paying a monthly fee for a home internet
connection that you might use for only a few minutes a day, come
in and use the Library internet instead. Wireless internet
access is also available at all Pickering Public Library
Branches.
So
the next time you’re looking for ideas on how to save some
money, look no further than your local Library!
Visit
your local Pickering Library Branch, or call the Library at
905-831-6265. Staff will be happy to help you. |
