You asked, and we listened! Due to popular demand, The Pickering Public Library has extended its Sunday hours into the summer this year. Instead of stopping Sunday service in mid June, as usually happens, the Central Library will continue Sunday hours right through until the end of the year. “The Pickering Library is always looking for ways to better serve its clients.” Says Doug Mirams, Manager of Central Library, “and the one suggestion the we heard from a large number of our clients was that they wanted the Library to remain open on Sundays during the summer months.” The first of the new summer Sundays will be June 21st. The Central Library will remain open for the usual Sunday hours of 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. The new iHelp desk will also be open during this time. Please note that all branches of the Pickering Library will still close on Sunday, August 2nd and Monday August 3rd for the Civic Holiday.
