We have your winners!
Pickering’s youngest authors compete to write the best short story.

Young authors in Pickering were given a chance to showcase their writing skills in the Pickering Public Library’s Mystery Short Story Contest for March Break. Participants were given the first line of their story: "I took a book from the library shelf and noticed that there was something stuck on the shelf behind it,” but it was left to the imagination of these young writers to determine how the story ended.

All of the participants were extremely talented and the panel of judges had a tough decision but in the end, agreed on the following winners:
