Pickering Volunteer
Recognized
Pickering, ON, February 17, 2010
The City of Pickering presented
Laura Drake with the Ontario Heritage Trust Community
Recognition Certificate and Achievement Pin on February 16, 2010
during a Pickering Council meeting. Laura has been a
long-standing volunteer member of the Pickering Museum Village
Advisory Committee since 1992. Laura has contributed to the
restoration of four buildings at the Pickering Museum Village,
and was instrumental in the establishment of the Pickering
Museum Village Foundation, and she also volunteers for many
museum events as a costumed interpreter during her tenure. The
City of Pickering is happy to announce her award.
