Artificial Turf Field – Bay Ridges Kinsmen Park Tender No. T-12-2008 Sealed tenders will be received by the undersigned department for the above no later than 2:00 pm.
The work consists of the supply of the required materials, labour, machinery, tools and appliances for the construction of a component of the BAY RIDGES KINSMEN PARK ARTIFICAIL TURF FIELD, in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by Kenneth J. Hoyle, Strategic Planning & Management, and the City of Pickering. Work includes but is not limited to the following: earthworks, subsurface drainage, artificial turf sports field, retaining walls, fencing, sodding and site furniture. A mandatory site visit has been arranged for Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at 10:00 AM, at the BAY RIDGES KINSMEN PARK, Sandy Beach Road, Pickering. All bidders shall visit the site. Bidders will be required to sign in on an attendance sheet. Only tenders received from bidders who attend the site visit, sign in on the attendance sheet, perform a complete viewing of the site during the scheduled tour shall be considered. The bidder must include with the tender submission a bid deposit of five thousand ($5,000.00) dollars or a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total tendered amount irrevocable for sixty (60) days from date of tender closing. After tender closing for evaluation a bidder will be required to provide a copy of their Health & Safety Policy, current Workplace Injury Summary Report issued by WSIB; current Clearance Certificate issued by WSIB; certificate of insurance - $5,000,000 Comprehensive Liability including premises and all operations and a Waste Management Plan. This is not a conclusive listing of requirements - it is solely the bidder’s responsibility to review the tendering document for full requirements.
