undersigned department for the above no later than 2:00 pm, local

The bidder is responsible for
delivering the tender before the closing date and time and assumes
the risk of any and all means of delivery be it by hand, mail or
courier.
Scope of work: Timber framed
structure built in the 1840’s with 1,070 square feet main floor and
1,070 square feet second floor. Phase One Tender consists of
existing building to be raised up, new concrete foundation to be
built, and then building lowered onto new foundation in accordance
with the plans and specifications prepared by John Rutledge,
Architect and the City of Pickering.
Only the invited prequalified general
contractors are invited to participate as bidders in this tendering
call.
A mandatory site visit has been
arranged for Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 2:00 pm at the
Pickering Museum Village, 2365 Concession 6, Greenwood, Ontario.
Bidders will be required to sign in on an attendance sheet. Only
tenders received from prequalified bidders who attend the site
visit, sign in on the attendance sheet, perform a complete viewing
of the site during the scheduled tour shall be considered.
The bidder must include
with the tender submission a bid deposit available for sixty
(60) days from date of tender closing and an original Agreement to
Bond form ensuring that 100% performance and 100% labour & materials
payment bonds can be supplied.
