To
conduct our corporate business, the City of Pickering purchases an
estimated 30 million dollars worth of goods and services annually
with an emphasis on obtaining the best value, utilizing current
technologies and product improvements.
Purchasing is a centralized function
administered by the Supply & Services Section of the Corporate
Services Department. Supply & Services acts as liaison between
vendors and the City. We are located on the 2nd floor of the Civic
Complex and are open from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.

The objectives of Supply &
Services to acquire goods and services for the City includes, but
is not limited to, the following:
- Obtaining best price, best value
goods and services
- Selecting responsive and
responsible suppliers
- Securing the most cost-effective
terms and conditions to assure proper and adequate supply
- Fostering open and fair
competition
Vendors are encouraged to complete
the
supplier
application form to be included in our database. The database
is self-administered and to ensure we have current supplier
information, please update your profile as changes occur.
