In December of 1837 the beginnings of responsible government occurred in Upper Canada. One of the protagonists of that time, Peter Matthews, will lead you on a journey through the events leading up to a decision to rebel and the aftermath of what would become known as the Rebellion of 1837.

Included in this first person presentation is the story of how the Pickering Museum Village brought this history to life by the creation of the award winning theatrical production "A Spirit Walk: A Call to Rebellion".
