Selective demolition has begun in the Redman House. A number of features will be either saved or salvaged for use in the Brougham Central Hotel.

The Redman House begins its journey from the home it has had for 150 years.

Veridian and Bell line crews lifted or dropped approximately 15 overhead wires along the route

All systems green!!  It took approximately 2 hours to travel from the Balsam Road site to Pickering Museum Village.

After many months of planning, the Redman House finally reaches its new home at Pickering Museum Village.

It's an uphill climb into the centre of the Village where the Redman House will become the Museum's new Program Centre.

The Redman House waits next to the Brougham Central Hotel while its new foundation is prepared. The Brougham Central Hotel was moved to its new location prior to the move of the Redman House.

Holes have now been put through the foundation of the Redman House and steel beams inserted that will support the building.

The two sections of the house have been detached, ready to start lifting.

The lift has begun. The main part of the house is now approximately one foot above the rear section.

It's now floating!  Axles and wheels will now be added to create the trailer for the move to Pickering Museum Village.
