Waterfront Trail

Over 220 hectares of groomed parkland, located in over 50 parks, provide passive as well as active leisure activities. These parks support all ages and provide facilities for all kinds of sports including football, baseball, soccer, tennis, basketball, cricket and bocci.

Please check the Event Calendar for events focusing in and around our parks this year.

Conservation Areas

In addition to the many parks and facilities run by the municipality, Pickering is lucky to have two Conservation areas within it's borders, Petticoat Creek and the Greenwood Conservation Area. These areas are maintained by the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority.  In addition to these conservation areas, the Seaton Hiking Trail winds along the West Duffins Creek Valley and passes through historic Whitevale.

Adjacent to the westerly boundary of Pickering is the Rouge Park. Rouge Park is a unique combination of woodlands, valleys, meadows and farmlands that were set apart to create one of the largest parks in an urban area in North America.
