The Block Parent Program is a non-profit volunteer organization. For over 30 years, the Block Parent Program has been helping to make our communities safer and is supported by local Police Services, Government Departments, Educators, Sponsors and Volunteers. The Block Parent sign is a symbol of safety and the people who display the Block Parent sign are responsible, community minded citizens who are screened by the police. Block Parents are trained to extend a helping hand by offering assistance in an emergency, providing the community with an organized method of protecting its children and seniors. The distinctive red and white Block Parent window sign indicates to everyone that a neighbourhood is actively concerned and watchful for the safety of its children.
