Acrobat Reader Tips:
What are
PDF's?
PDF is
an acronym for Portable Document Format. Created by Adobe Systems,
PDF is a file format used to represent a document in a manner independent
of the application software, hardware and operating system used
to create it. The benefit of PDF's is that once the free plug-in
is installed onto your computer (available from Adobe), regardless
of what system you are running or what software you have installed,
you will be able to read, download and print PDF's. In addition,
unlike other some other documents, the original format of the material
is retained, thus allowing for easy reproduction.
Searching
for street names
Use the
"Find" tool (binocular icon on the toolbar, at the top
of your screen.) Single-click on the binocular icon, and type
in the name of the street you want to locate. To find
subsequent occurrences of the same street name, single-click on
the Find Again icon.
Enlarge the
map
Use the
"Zoom In" tool (magnifying glass icon on the toolbar,
at the top of your screen). Click on the magnifying glass
icon, then click and drag your mouse pointer to select an area.
When you release the mouse button, the selected area will fill the
window. Another way to enlarge the map is to select
the Zoom In tool then click on the map to zoom in. You can
also use the right mouse button to select a magnification size.
