Illegal Dumping

The cost of cleaning up illegally-dumped garbage exceeds $100,000 each year - a cost incurred by our taxpayers.  Dumping waste on City property is against the law and carries a $5,000 fine. 

You can help fight illegal dumping by reporting any incidents you may witness.  A reward is offered upon conviction.  Please contact the City's by-law division at 905.683.7575 to report incidents.

You can take your waste, which now includes household hazardous waste, to the Miller Waste Transfer Station at 1220 Squires Beach Road.  They are open Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm and on Saturday's from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.
